Pathway To Awakening

Awakening can arrive slowly, or all at once.

For some of us, it is a slow burn: months or years of knowing, deep inside, that something needs to change. For others, it is a Tower moment, a change that arrives suddenly and takes the ground with it. It can be dramatic, and it can be quiet. A move. A career shift. The ending or beginning of a relationship. A divorce.

I think of the caterpillar and the butterfly. In the chrysalis, the old form dissolves. For a while there is no shape at all, only the goop. It is dark and unfamiliar, and it is hard to sit in not knowing what you are becoming. From the outside it can look like falling apart. From a spiritual view, it may be part of becoming. And in time, a new form begins to take shape.

I think of waves coming in and carving the sand. That is what change does. It carves out what no longer needs to be there, and it leaves a shape that invites us to look at the world, and ourselves, differently.

The pathway to awakening is what happens when a woman hears a spiritual call to know herself more deeply, and to understand who she is. It is an awakening to your own intuition, your own heart, your own love, compassion, and forgiveness: a coming home to the light of who you are, a soul in a human body, with a chance to enjoy this present moment, your relationships, and the life around you.

Many of us were raised to take care of everyone else first: our families, our husbands, our children. We became the last person we looked after. The awakening is learning who we are, and trusting that your own wisdom is worth listening to.

For too long, women have been seen through a very limited lens. Spirituality offers another one, from the wisdom of the divine feminine to tarot, astrology, and Human Design.

There is no one right way to do this, and you do not need to believe anything or know anything. I use tarot and oracle cards, astrology, Human Design, and archetypes, along with the work of Caroline Myss on sacred contracts, as invitations. They help you see your change as a curriculum, something happening for you, and they invite you to feel what resonates and leave the rest.

This pathway is for the woman who feels called to something deeper, even if she cannot yet name it. It is for the woman in the middle of a big change who wonders what it is asking of her.
