There is a version of this story where you come out the other side not just healed but genuinely transformed.
Where you understand the patterns that brought you to your last relationship clearly enough that you never repeat them. Where you open to love again from a place of wholeness rather than longing. Where you build a family by choice and discover that the love required to do that is the most spiritually significant love available to us.
That transformation is not a distant possibility.
